Walton Arts Center’s 2007-2008 Season

The Walton Arts Center has recently announced its 2007-2008 season.  Each time I see a Walton Arts Center season brochure, I am reminded how lucky we are to have the WAC here in Northwest Arkansas.  This year is no different.  The season is full of great events for families. 

My favorite new package is the “Flex Series” where you create your own subscription by choosing 4 or more shows from any category.  I think this series is a great option for families. 

Under the Flex Series, you could buy tickets to some of the Broadway shows like Annie or Stomp without having to purchase tickets to shows that may not be as appropriate for children.  Instead, you can round out your package with shows from the Playtime for Kids or the Family Fun categories (or, broaden your child’s perspective with an event from the World Arts, Music, or Dance categories). 

The only problem is that there are too many good shows to choose from!!! These are the shows I am currently considering for my boys:

  • Stomp
  • Annie
  • A Year with Frog and Toad
  • The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley
  • Shaolin Warriors
  • Peter Pan
  • Beakman Live
  • Guy Davis Family Blues Show

That looks like a very good year.
