PRE-SCHOOL STORY TIME
Pre-Schoolers ages 3 to 5 are invited to join Miss Judy at the Springdale Public Library on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. This winter’s program theme is Lessons Learned from Ben Franklin.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, January 22 and 23, children will read stories about Benjamin Franklin’s early career choice — printing. Pre-school Story Time gives children and their caregivers the opportunity to enjoy books, songs, puppets, and fingerplays. A simple craft project follows each program.
SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAM
School-age children, ages 6 to 9, are invited to join Ms. Erin for the Library’s After School Program on Tuesdays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, January 22, children continue their trip back in time to the days of Benjamin Franklin with Food, Fun and Fashion in the Colonies. After reading the book Thanksgiving on Plymouth Plantation by Diane Stanley, children will play games of Quoits and Stick Toss. The program concludes as children will make their own colonial hats.
SPANISH STORY TIME FOR FAMILIES
Spanish Story Time for Families is presented primarily in Spanish but does include bilingual materials as well. It’s a great time for bilingual families to enjoy stories, songs, puppets and fingerplays. A simple craft project follows each program. The programs are presented on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.
LAP SIT / TODDLER TIME
Lap Sit at the Springdale Public Library, a program designed for babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers, is held on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Toddler Time, for children who are walking through age 3, is held on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
Both programs include action rhymes, stories, and songs.
