PRE-SCHOOL STORY TIME
It’s Fall Again for pre-schoolers ages 3 to 5 at the Springdale Public Library on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Pre-school story time gives children and their caregivers the opportunity to enjoy books, songs, puppets, fingerplays, and a simple craft project.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28 and 29, children will learn all about clever critters! After reading the book Critter Sitters by Jacqueline Sweeney and singing the song Bats are Sleeping, Bats are Sleeping, children will make an upside down bat craft to take home.
SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAM
School age children will explore the Wonderful World of Animals at the Springdale Public Library on Tuesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. These fun-filled programs feature stories, songs, activities, and crafts. Children of all abilities are welcome!
On Tuesday, October 28, kids will learn that it’s a zoo out there! After reading the book Never. EVER Shout in a Zoo by Karma Wilson and playing the “Zoo Hunt” game, children will make a zebra craft to take home.
LAP SIT and TODDLER TIME
Lap Sit at the Springdale Public Library, a program designed for babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers, is held on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Toddler Time, for children who are walking through age 3, is held on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
FRACTURED FAIRY TALES FOR KIDS
Enjoy fairy tales about mixed-up stories at the Springdale Public Library on Saturday, November 1, 11:00 a.m. until noon. Funny versions of traditional stories, like Dusty Locks and the Three Bears by Susan Lowell and The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza by Philemon Sturges will be featured along with fairy tale games and fairy tale pizza to eat!
