Walton Arts Center patrons will experience the amazement of traditional marionette puppetry in The Star Keeper. This award-winning puppet show features finely chiseled puppets, original screenplay and bewitching music that creates an epic fantasy perfect for children of all ages. Having entertained the eyes of children all over the world, The Star Keeper will make its debut at the Walton Arts Center Friday May 11 at 7pm. One night, a star falls from the sky, and to the rescue comes a worm named Pretzel. He puts it in his big basket and sets out to return it to its proper place. Thus, the adventure begins. Beautifully told through puppetry, The Star Keeper is a story without words incorporating visual poetry, music and fantasy designed to capture the imagination of young audiences.
Produced by the award-winning Canadian puppetry company, Théâtre de l’Oeil, The Star Keeper received numerous awards and accolades throughout Canada including the Winnipeg Free Press who raved, “It’s hard not to be over the moon about The Star Keeper, a stunning triumph of puppetry and imagination sure to enchant children, young and old.”
