Bentonville Spring Break Option: The Sound of Music Fine Arts Conservatory

by Christa Davis on March 4, 2010

In Trike Theatre’s Spring Break camp for K-8th graders, students experience music, acting, choreography and visual arts based on the classic musical The Sound of Music.

Camper groups, K-2nd grades, 3rd-4th grades and 5th-8th grades, rotate between Trike Theatre and Kaleidoscope Dance Studio in downtown Bentonville each day.

They learn songs and improvise scenes around them, learn group movement for the songs, develop some of their own dances, design and create set pieces, props and costume pieces for the students’ songs, and focus on a style or technique of visual art. On Friday afternoon students will present their original performances for parents and friends at R. E. Baker Elementary.
