What are the chances of the New York Times travel section including a piece on Fayetteville, Arkansas?  Excellent.  The Article includes several kid-friendly recommendations like Hugo’s restaurant on Block Street (just off the downtown square), the Farmers Market on the Square, Penguin Eds Bar-B-Q, the Fayetteville Public Library, and Devil’s Den State Park.  I only noticed a few things that are no longer accurate (the article was published in April 2006):  the Sassafras restaurant has closed and the Radisson Hotel is now the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
