Responsible Dog Ownership Day at Murphy Dog Park in Rogers

Whether you are looking to add a dog or a puppy to your family for the first time or are a life long dog lover, we encourage you to “bone up” on responsible dog ownership.  The Northwest Arkansas Kennel Club invites you to celebrate AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day with us on September 15th at Murphy Dog Park in Rogers from 1p.m. to 4 p.m.

We’ll be offering: Speakers Dr. Nancy Belknap from New Hope Animal Hospital and Deborah Grodecka from Every Dog Can. Judy Bond with Faithful Friend’s Dog Training will give a Rally Training demonstration. Big Wag Gourmet Dog Bakery will host a Tail Waggin’ contest, and we will also have our Pet Star talent contest.

Great Dane rescue will offer low cost micro chipping for your dog and we also will offer Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog testing.

There will be Face painting and balloon twisting, vendors, artists, and a silent auction to benefit Murphy Dog Park, The Humane Society, and local rescue groups.

Enjoy free hotdogs, drinks, and a host of fun and educational activities for dogs and owners. Come, Sit, Stay, and learn what it takes to be a responsible dog owner. Your best friend is counting on you.
