The following daycares, preschools and mother’s day out programs in Northwest Arkansas were recommended by readers in response to my reader poll:
- The New School in Fayetteville
- The University of Arkansas Infant Development Center and Preschool
- First School in Fayetteville
- Montessori Children’s House in Fayetteville
- Kirsty’s Place in Fayetteville
- Community Preschool in Fayetteville
- Mother’s Day Out at the First Baptist Church in Springdale
- Mother’s Day Out at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville
- Building Bridges in Bentonville
Are there other good schools missing from the list? Central’s Center for Children in Fayetteville jumps to my mind. What about my Benton County readers? What are the good schools up your way?

Got something to say?

Early Education on Joyce in Fayetteville is also NAEYC accredited and from what I’ve heard, a great day care.
You asked for some recommendations in Benton County. None of the child care centers in B.C. are NAEYC accredited, which was a real surprise to me. As you may have guessed, since moving back here, it has been difficult to find quality child care. Walnut Farm Montessori School in Bentonville has been recommended to me, but they do not taken children under the age of three. ANH Montessori School in Rogers (just past NWACC campus) does take children under three. Amanda Runincik is the owner and director. She used to be a Montessori certified instructor at Walnut Creek, but when she had a baby of her own, she started her own school to fill the void for children under three (though ANH offers instruction for children over the age of three). It is by far and above the best child care option we have found in Benton County for infants and toddlers. They offer half or full school day programs, and they also offer before and after care.
Stepping Stone Children’s Academy in Bentonville Has Been a Very Good Place, They Take 3 Months - 5 Years of Age. The Director and Owner are Very Sweet People and all of the Teachers there are very friendly. There website is not working but if you call (479)845-BABY They can tell you the prices and all the other information, It Really Has Been A Great Place For Our Son
Our oldest son attended Helen Walton Children Enrichment Center for almost 3 years and we absolutely loved it! Great curriculum, outstanding teachers. After the birth of our second son, and an extended maternity leave, we wanted to get both boys into that daycare - but there is a waiting list - something like 2 years - no joke. 80 parents are on the list for infants alone! This speaks to the critical need for quality centers in Benton county.
