I remember learning to swim through Red Cross swim programs. I am glad to see the programs are still going strong!
Swim Lessons: The Red Cross offers eight-lesson Learn to Swim programs for preschool and older children at the Melvin Ford Aquatic Center in Bentonville.
Summer Safety Camps: The Red Cross is also offering afternoon summer camps for 8-15 year olds focused on teaching children first aid and safety. These three-session camps are held at the Red Cross headquarters in Tontitown.
Safer Kids Program: The Red Cross is offering a 5 day Safer Kids Program at the Boys & Girls Club in Fayetteville. It covers Basic First Aid, Wilderness Survival, Putting a Stop to Bullying, Water Safety and Weather Safety, and Fire Safety. The program is designed for 8-10 year olds.
