Make Sure Your Kids Don’t Miss the Total Lunar Eclipse This Saturday, March 3, 2007

by Terri Chadick on March 2, 2007

I bet your kids would enjoy seeing the total lunar eclipse that will occur at moonrise (6:45pm if you are in Northwest Arkansas) tomorrow (Saturday, March 3, 2007).  In a lunar eclipse, the earth blocks most of the sunlight to the moon so that the moon appears a dark red-orange.  Find a place with a good view of the eastern horizon at sunset and enjoy the show.

Gadling has a viewing guide here.  If you want to photograph the eclipse, MrEclipse has tips here.
