I had lunch the other day with an All Sides of Life reader in Bentonville (at the Vineyard — excellent food, not too kid friendly — but that did not matter because we had no kids!)

She mentioned that Gusanos Pizza in Bentonville is very kid friendly and has great pizza.  Map

Any other recommendations for kid friendly places to eat in Benton County?

Gusanos is hands down my favorite pizza place I’ve ever been! It’s amazing!

Zaxby’s, Whole Hog, Mama Fu’s, Baker Brothers Cafe, and the now-defunct Hot Dog Alley (RIP) all have great food. Not super-kid friendly. Middle-of-the-road-friendly. With the food tasting so good, the kids won’t need to be entertained! (wishful thinking, eh?)

I am a big fan of the Celtic Grill. Great reuben and french dip sandwiches, also kids get a free ice cream scoop.

I agree that Gusano’s has excellent food, however, I did not have a good experience with bringing my son there. My mom, my son (who was about 11 months old at the time) and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday–it was our first time there, so we didn’t know what to expect. The place was filled with people on thier lunch breaks (which is to be expected, I realize) but we had to seat ourselves and there was not a high chair to be found anywhere. So my son had to sit in my lap until a server finally approached us. We waited so long and felt so uncomfortable that we were ready to get up and leave! The server apologized and said that they do have high chairs and brought us one from some distant unknown location. The rest of our experience went well and the food was great. Maybe if it hadn’t been lunch time things would have gone smoother–and I found it to be an adult atmosphere. I would recommend the food, but wouldn’t necessarily say that it’s a good place for kids.

Got something to say?
