Here’s a note from Kassie, the Artistic Director of TheatreSquared, who is recruiting 10 – 25 students entering the 3rd through 6th grades, to participate in a FREE performing arts workshop with Kennedy Center Presenter, Sean Layne.

Walton Arts Center is bringing Sean to Fayetteville to teach in the AWE Summer teacher training program. Sean is a nationally known drama teaching artist who will be in the area showing teachers how to expand and explode their Arkansas History curriculum with drama.  During his week at AWE, Sean will spend the mornings with the teachers and then in the afternoon, he will teach the same curriculum to the 3rd-6th graders while the 35 AWE teachers observe.  This is a great opportunity for kids who have taken acting before or for those who are interested in trying something new and fun. The workshop is an hour a day for three days.

Kassie got to know Sean two years ago when she taught with him at AWE and she’s thrilled that the Walton Arts Center is bringing him back. Consider joining the workshop and helping area teachers expand their teaching skills.
