Free Birthday Hotspots, Anyone?

by Rhonda on November 12, 2008

Calling all NWA Parents, a Fayetteville mom is desperately seeking help!

Every year, my daughter’s birthday is the week of Thanksgiving – last year it fell ON Thanksgiving – and this makes it difficult to decide when to have the party, and the dreary November weather makes it hard to find a great (and super cheap) location.

We had the first three at home, but now that there are about 15 kids+their parents invited, we’d rather do it someplace with a little more open space. Last year I booked a gazebo at Wilson Park, and cancelled due to weather.  Being in Fayetteville and most of the invitees being here, we’d of course prefer Fayetteville, but Springdale-Rogers isn’t too far of a drive to ask if the party is good!

Any suggestions out there? I have precisely 10 TEN days to decide and get out invites!!!

Desperately Yours,

RhoRho

I just went to my son’s best friends party at fast tracks in Rogers and was surprised at how cheap it was (compared to many other options). She paid $99.00 for 8 kids to bowl for approx 1 1/2 hours and they got 2 pieces of pizza and unlimited drinks. They set up the decorations and the family just had to bring in the cake. For the adults she ordered some appetizers – they have a pretty large menu and everything was really good. After some of the party goers left she bought some laser tag tickets for some of the kids. Good Luck!

The Jones Center in Springdale is FREE and you can choose Swimming and/or Ice Skating depending on the availability of open tickets. They have a special area for Birthdays that is nice and open so that all can enjoy the party. You can reserve the tickets for the swimming and/or Ice skating when you book a party (all free of charge). 756-8090

Fun City in Springdale, weeknights are best for parties. Weekends are too crowded.

Durham’s Gymnastics in Springdale, rent a room and the facility for kids to play on the gymnastics equipment.

Fayetteville Athletic Club Kids Fit Fun Factory, pricy but fun

Chuck E Cheese

We have also done swim parties at the Jones Center. Very fun, depending on the age of guests. Also free, you just pay the lifeguards if you want a private party.

Roller City in Springdale. We have been to parties there, but never had one. Fun if your kids like to skate, depending on age.

Build A Bear, good for small parties, but can be expensive.

Rhonda,
I went back and read after I posted and somehow missed the word “free ” in you request. So sorry!

My daughter takes gymnastics at the Little Gym in Rogers and they also have a room for birthday parties. I am not sure of the price, but they provide EVERYTHING including play time in the gym! Check out the website! Good luck!
