You probably know that the Joe Martin Stage Race is this weekend, due to the influx of bicyclers in town. But, did you know that the race includes a free fun ride for kids on the Square in Fayetteville?
The free fun ride is a bike race for kids between the ages of 3 and 12 (tricycles or training wheels allowed, helmets required) and will take place on Sunday, May 11, 2008. All the information you need about the kids’ race, including a registration form (just bring it with you to the race or pick one up at the race) course instruction, and map can be found by clicking here. The routes and races are separated by age groups, and the race is fun for kids of all skill levels.
Inflatable toys, vendors featuring food, outdoor productions, refreshments, and demonstrations will be on the Fayetteville Square from 8am until 5 pm on Sunday. Prizes will be given away to the public throughout the day.
Also, my kids love to watch the professional bikers race. Here’s a list of prime viewing spots as well as a race schedule.
