We did it!! We finally had a family photo shoot with Allison Rupp of photoalli.com!  I know you probably have photos taken every year, and are surrounded by beautiful memories of your family.  Not us. 

I have always been intimidated by the idea.  How could I ever get all four of us dressed “fancy” — as my 6 year old would say – and to the location with smiles on on our faces?  (I didn’t.) 

My six year old refused to wear anything but bright blue Under Armour and bright white tennis shoes with his brown corduroys.  Both boys had stains on their faces despite much scrubbing.  No one was speaking to anyone civilly by the time we got to the lawn of Old Main (15 minutes late).  But it didn’t matter.

The pictures Allison took reflect our family in all our fun and messiness.  She took plenty of traditional shots of us together and separately.  But, she also encouraged some fun shots in the trees and playing in the leaves.  It is exactly what I wanted.
