Many kids love airplanes.  You can feed that passion with a trip to the Arkansas Air Museum, located at Drake Field in South Fayetteville.  The museum has a “one of a kind” collection of aircraft, rare engines, and other exhibits.  Newcomers to Northwest Arkansas may find it hard to believe that Drake Field was region’s main airport prior to the dedication of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in November of 1998.

Ever take the boys to the reptile museum? It is on Green Acres road just as you turn off 71B past Sycamore. It is a very funky Fayetteville kind of place. Every time we go it is empty and the owner/operater lets the kids hold all kinds of animals. I think the entry fee is about 2 or 3 bucks per kid. It is really really small so it only takes 30 minutes or less and that is if the kids really interested.
