Sorry about this late notice on this. I just heard about it.
The University of Arkansas Police Department will host the 10th annual “Discovering Safety” community event this weekend. Discovering Safety will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Bud Walton Arena. The goal is to provide a family environment where children can learn how to stay safe and still have fun during their summer vacation. Parents will also get tips on the precautions they need to help their children stay safe. Free hot dogs and drinks will be served.
Several local public safety agencies and community organizations will be taking part in this year’s event. Among the day’s features will be McGruff, the Crime Dog, the Northwest Arkansas AirEvac helicopter, and the Arkansas State Police roll-over simulator. Link.
