We have recently learned that bicycle maintenance can be expensive.  So, I was glad to hear about Bike City Recyclery and Infoshop:  “an all volunteer non-profit bicycle recyclery and full service shop committed to cycling as a healthy means of clean and sustainable transportation. In addition, Bike City is a radical bookstore, library & meeting space.”

All Sides of Life reader KC just had them fix up her super vintage Schwinn Collegiate Cruiser.  Here’s what she had to say:

I really neglected the bike over the past 15 years and it looked like it.  They got it sparkling, and best of all, working!  They’re totally reasonably priced and it’s a neat place because it’s volunteer-run. You can even rent a bike stand and tools to work on your own bikes, if you have the knowledge.
