Brandon with Old Soul Organics in Fayetteville recently contacted me about their new organic food home delivery program.

Home DeliveryOld Soul delivers boxes of fresh local and west coast organic fruits and vegetables to your home.  You can also add all natural meats, locally roasted organic coffee, organic flours and bread mixes, local raw honey, etc. to your order.  All boxes can be tailored to suit individual tastes.  You can find out more about the delivery program (including pricing) and order online here and see sample box contents here.

Pick UpOld Soul also offers organic produce and all natural meats through their food warehouse located on Crossover Road (across from Harps). At the front counter of the small retail store, they keep an inventory list showing what is currently in stock in the warehouse. They fill organic produce and meat orders while you wait, or the orders can be faxed, emailed, or phoned in with a pickup time.

Meal Planning Help

February 26, 2007 | Leave a Comment

I think one of the hardest things to do as a working mom is to get dinner on the table.  I rely heavily on Pass Your Plate and all the good restaurants in Northwest Arkansas that welcome to kids.  From time to time, I use other meal related websites like Kraft Food and Family and Epicurious.

Now there’s a new kid on the block.  Meals Matter is a resource from the California Dairy Council.  It includes a recipe planner, shopping list, personalized pantry and meal ideas.  Did I mention it is free?  Thanks, Lifehacker

Richard’s Meat Market

February 2, 2007 | 3 Comments

Richard’s Meat Market is one of Fayetteville’s best kept secrets.  They carry any type of meat imaginable, including seafood and wild game, and the quality is always outstanding.  If you are looking to pick up something for dinner, Rick’s has an amazing selection of quick to fix items.  My favorites is the Sun Dried Tomato and Basil burger.  The store contains a variety of specialty sauces, pantry items, and a small produce section.  Also, if you time it right, you can pick up a deli sandwich for lunch while you shop.

Address: 3042 North Market Ave., Fayetteville.  Map.

Pass Your Plate — An Easy Meal Prep Store

Pass Your Plate, an easy meal prep store in Fayetteville, can be a lifesaver for busy families.  Here’s how it works:  Pass Your Plate does all the menu planning, shopping, chopping, peeling, dicing and clean up.  You go to their well organized kitchen and spend an hour or two to prepare 3, 6, or 10 preselected entrees to freeze for your family.  Or, call ahead and Pass Your Plate will prepare the meal for you at no extra charge!

Each entree feeds 4-6 people, or can be split into two entrees that feed 2-3.  The cost is less than dinner out, and it makes the answer to “what’s for dinner?” so much easier.  Go to the Pass Your Plate website for more details.
