It is Spring Break, so posting will be light this week.  But, stay tuned for the Frugal Life+Kids Week which begins on Monday.

The Kids Clothing Page of the Life+Kids Guide is Up and Running!

I am having a blast creating the Life+Kids Guide to Kid Friendly Northwest Arkansas.  I launched the Maternity Clothing page recently and have just launched the Kids Clothing page today.  Be sure to go to those pages and let me know if I have missed any of your favorite stores (terri@lifepluskids.com). 

Also, please tell your friends who are pregnant or looking for kids clothes about the new Life+Kids Guide pages.  You can get to the Kids Clothing page by clicking here or the Maternity Clothes page by clicking here.  They can also be reached via the front page of Life+Kids.

The Life+Kids Guide only includes stores (I used the term “stores” because I am currently working on the Shopping section of the Guide) that I would recommend to a friend or that are recommended to me by Life+Kids readers.  I have tried to include stores for all budgets and tastes.

ALL the recommended stores (and only the recommended stores) are listed.  However, some stores have expanded listings that are featured in the Life+Kids Guide.  These are either local stores who appreciate Life+Kids and have become Sponsors of this site, or national stores with a local presence for which Life+Kids is an affiliate.  That means that if you click through to those affiliate sites from the Life+Kids Guide, a portion of your online purchases will go back to Life+Kids.

I love the ever changing nature of the web and want the Life+Kids Guide to be always evolving as well.  So, if you see any of your favorite stores that are missing, let me know.  I can easily add them to the list.  Also, if any of the stores I have listed close or no longer fit into the category I have them listed in, let me know.

Finally, tell your friends about Life+Kids!  The more people we have in the Life+Kids community, the easier it will be to find out about new hot spots and hidden gems in Northwest Arkansas.

Maternity Shopping Recommendations in the Life+Kids Guide

I have finished the first page of the Life+Kids Guide to Kid Friendly NWA.  It is the page about where to buy maternity clothes in Northwest Arkansas.  The page only covers the 7 stores recommended by Life+Kids readers.  But, I can easily add more if some of you have other places to recommend.

Don’t bother clicking on the other shopping categories — they are not finished yet :)

I am planning to create a separate consignment and used clothing store page, so I have not included those stores here.

Pardon the Construction . . .

I am building the Shopping directory in the Life+Kids Guide to Kid Friendly Northwest Arkansas.  A few test posts went out last night (those are the ones that said “test” with nothing else!) and I am adding more today (like the one on Liz Lange maternity at Target) and tomorrow, and the next day . . . :) 

So, you may receive a few funny posts for the next day or two.  Bear with me.  I will let you know as soon as I launch the first page of the directory (which should be within the next few days).

Glitch(es) Fixed

FYI — I fixed a glitch in the program I am using to display upcoming events on the Life+Kids homepage.  It was showing the correct date, but not the correct day of the week.  Now, it’s fixed.

Also, the Nine-times-three giveaway doesn’t end until December 12, not December 2!

Question:  How can I make Life+Kids more useful to you?  Here’s an opportunity for you to give me input about this site:

  • Subjects/Categories - are there any subjects you would like to see covered in All Sides of Life? What are the things that you would most like to know about kid friendly NWA, but have difficulty finding?
  • Types of Posts - reader questions, giveaways, upcoming events, what to do this week…. what do you like most, what do you like least?
  • Posting Frequency - are there too many posts?  too few?
  • Design - is it easy to find what you are looking for on the site?
