Our major local libraries are focusing on all things creepy crawly this summer during their Catch The Reading Bug summer programs.  These programs are the ultimate summer boredom busters for children of all ages.

Here’s how it works.   Children who have completed kindergarten and older register for the program and receive a logbook to track their reading progress.  Those who complete at least one logbook are eligible for prizes.

But, the best part is that the libraries have tons of FREE fun activities scheduled for preschoolers through teens throughout the summer.  Your child can participate in as few or as many as fits your schedule (even if they are not keeping a logbook).

Here are the links to the various libraries’ websites so you can get an overview of the planned activities.  I will remind you of specific events closer to the time they are scheduled.
